Are you an experienced Accounts Administrator looking for your next opportunity within a successful and growing business?

We are working with an established Lancashire-based business that has built a strong reputation within its specialist industry. With a busy operation and continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an Accounts Administrator to join their team and play an important role in supporting the day-to-day finance function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied accounts role, is highly organised and takes pride in getting things right.

The Role

Working as part of the finance team, you will provide day-to-day administrative and transactional support across the accounts function.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing invoices and financial transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Supporting purchase and sales ledger activities (roughly 1800 per month)
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery documentation
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring information is kept up to date
  • Assisting with account reconciliations
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers regarding account queries
  • Processing payments and supporting the wider finance team with finance administration
  • Providing general administrative support to the finance function
  • Working closely with colleagues across the wider business to resolve queries and ensure information is accurate

About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience within an accounts or finance administration position who is confident working with numbers and managing financial information accurately.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an accounts administration or finance support role
  • Good understanding of accounting processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A confident and professional approach when dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues
  • Good IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office, Knowledge of Sage 200 is beneficial
