An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, personable and highly organised Admissions Officer to play a pivotal role in pupil recruitment and the continued growth of a thriving independent school.

This is an excellent opportunity for a sales-focused professional who is passionate about education and delivering exceptional customer service. As a key public representative of the School, you will guide families through every stage of the admissions journey — from initial enquiry to enrolment — ensuring a warm, professional and positive experience throughout.

The Role

The Admissions Officer is central to ensuring the School operates at full capacity. You will:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service at every interaction
  • Convert enquiries into visits, applications and registrations
  • Provide regular admissions updates and analysis to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Play a key role in planning and delivering Open Mornings, Taster Days and other admissions events
  • Work closely with academic and support teams to ensure a seamless transition for new pupils

This is a crucial post contributing directly to the School’s reputation, growth and future development.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Sales-minded with an understanding of marketing principles
  • An excellent communicator
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills
  • Confident working with data and analysing statistics
  • IT proficient, particularly in Microsoft Excel (experience with a School Information Management System desirable)
  • Professional, calm and confident with a wide range of audiences
  • Proactive, discreet and solution-focused
  • A genuine team player with integrity and drive
  • You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding, equality and diversity, and the welfare of children and young people.
  • Flexibility is essential, as occasional evening and weekend work will be required to support school events.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact within a forward-thinking educational environment. If you are enthusiastic, relationship-driven and ready to contribute to the continued success of a growing school community, we would welcome your application.
