We’re looking for a Collections Administrator to join a growing team within an established financial services business. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administration experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident dealing with customers and managing arrears.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls with customers, brokers, agents and solicitors.
  • Manage customer arrears, including failed Direct Debits and repossession cases.
  • Maintain the live arrears list, ensuring action is taken and escalated appropriately.
  • Process credit and debit card payments.
  • Issue statements, legal notices and relevant correspondence.
  • Investigate customers and assets using available online tools.
  • Manage forbearance requests and business administration/liquidation cases.
  • Escalate cases to agents or solicitors where appropriate.
  • Ensure all activity complies with data protection, money laundering and company guidelines.
  • Support the training of new team members where required.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within a financial services environment.
  • Strong telephone and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical ability.
  • Confident working under pressure and managing competing priorities.
  • Resilient, self-motivated and proactive.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and strong customer focus.
  • Collections or arrears experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Experience with Asset Finance would be advantageous.
