We’re looking for a Collections Administrator to join a growing team within an established financial services business. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administration experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident dealing with customers and managing arrears.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls with customers, brokers, agents and solicitors.
- Manage customer arrears, including failed Direct Debits and repossession cases.
- Maintain the live arrears list, ensuring action is taken and escalated appropriately.
- Process credit and debit card payments.
- Issue statements, legal notices and relevant correspondence.
- Investigate customers and assets using available online tools.
- Manage forbearance requests and business administration/liquidation cases.
- Escalate cases to agents or solicitors where appropriate.
- Ensure all activity complies with data protection, money laundering and company guidelines.
- Support the training of new team members where required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous administration experience, ideally within a financial services environment.
- Strong telephone and negotiation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical ability.
- Confident working under pressure and managing competing priorities.
- Resilient, self-motivated and proactive.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong customer focus.
- Collections or arrears experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience with Asset Finance would be advantageous.
