We are working on behalf of a thriving, family-run property company with a strong and growing portfolio of industrial and commercial assets across the UK. They are now looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the credit control function, thrives under pressure, and is confident dealing with a broad tenant base. You’ll be joining a close-knit, agile team where your input will make a real impact on business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage rent and service charge arrears across a diverse tenant base
  • Maintain regular contact with tenants via phone, email, and written correspondence
  • Issue reminder letters, statements, and legal notices where appropriate
  • Liaise with property managers, solicitors, and debt recovery agents
  • Provide regular aged debt and arrears reports to senior management
  • Reconcile tenant accounts and handle queries promptly and professionally
  • Monitor lease terms and ensure compliance with payment schedules
  • Support the wider finance team with reporting and process improvements

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a credit control role, ideally within the property sector
  • Knowledge of industrial or commercial lease structures and service charges
  • Experience using property management systems (e.g. Qube, Yardi, MRI, or similar)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting software
  • Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
