
A leading manufacturing company based in Blackburn is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Continuous Improvement Officer to join its team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations while continuously driving performance improvements across the site.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the site’s Health & Safety Management System
- Conduct and coordinate risk assessments, audits, and inspections
- Update safety documentation and ensure legal compliance
- Identify training needs and deliver regular health and safety training
- Collaborate with departments to ensure all processes and equipment meet safety standards
- Lead emergency response planning and training
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Share and implement best practices in health, safety, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and relevant UK HSE regulations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
- A proactive approach to identifying risks and driving positive change
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
