The Role

As a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer, you will be part of a curriculum team, contributing to delivery, planning, development, and student support.  You will teach on a range of courses at Level 1 to Level 3 including full time, part time and apprentices.

What are we looking for?

An enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who has a Level 4 qualification or above in Mechanical Engineering. If you possess a UK Honours degree or UK ENIC recognised degree in a related discipline that would be beneficial.

Ideally, you'll hold a PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification. However, we welcome applicants without prior experience in the education sector who possess relevant and transferable skills with a willingness to achieve a recognised teaching qualification within two years of appointment.

The successful applicant will have relevant industrial and / or professional experience in the areas of CNC programming, additive manufacturing, and fabrication at a high level.

We are looking for someone who possesses experience of G-code, CNC setting and machining, CAM programming and machining. As well as a strong awareness of contemporary developments within the Mechanical Engineering Sector.
With excellent interpersonal skills you will have experience of working within 14-19 age group.
