We’re working with a successful and growing financial services business to recruit a Risk Coordinator to join its Risk team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, analytical and keen to develop their knowledge of credit risk within a supportive and collaborative environment.

You’ll play an important role in supporting the Risk function, helping to monitor the lending portfolio, coordinate audits and reviews, prepare management information and ensure key risk processes are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.

The Role

As Risk Coordinator, you’ll support a range of activities across the Risk department, including:

  • Monitoring conditions subsequent and coordinating in-life asset audits, large exposure annual reviews and credit line annual reviews.
  • Preparing audit packs and supporting audit report reviews, including coordinating actions arising from findings.
  • Preparing and coordinating monthly hindsight reviews of underwriting decisions and defaults.
  • Maintaining monthly large exposure monitoring processes and escalating any adverse findings where appropriate.
  • Collating and presenting data relating to credit decision appeals for risk reporting.
  • Coordinating notifications from relevant asset monitoring systems.
  • Supporting the In Life Risk & Portfolio Manager with wider Risk activities as required.
  • Developing a strong understanding of credit policy and how it is applied within a live financial services environment.

This role offers genuine scope to develop your understanding of credit risk management, portfolio monitoring, underwriting oversight and governance processes, with hands-on exposure to a diverse lending portfolio.

What we're looking for

We’re looking for someone with excellent attention to detail who is comfortable working with information, managing multiple priorities and making considered judgement calls.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to think laterally and use initiative.
  • Adaptability and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Patience and a willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • 5 GCSEs at grades 9–4 (A*–C), or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  • An interest in credit, risk, finance or asset finance.

Experience of areas such as Companies House, Experian Alerts, adverse media checks, CAP software, auctions or working alongside valuers would be advantageous, but full training and development will be provided.
