Looking for a varied operations role where no two days are the same?

Our client is a successful and well-established manufacturing business with an excellent reputation for quality and customer service. They are looking for a proactive Transport & Operations Coordinator to join their busy Operations team and play a key role in ensuring products are delivered to customers safely, efficiently and on time.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in transport, logistics or supply chain administration who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives on keeping operations running smoothly.

What you'll be doing

This is a varied role, splitting your time between transport coordination and wider operational administration. You'll work closely with colleagues across production, warehouse, sales and finance, as well as external transport providers, ensuring the smooth flow of products from warehouse to customer.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the day-to-day distribution of customer orders
  • Liaising with production and warehouse teams to ensure orders are ready for dispatch
  • Booking and managing transport with external haulage providers
  • Preparing transport documentation, including export paperwork for European deliveries
  • Coordinating goods in, receipting deliveries and ensuring accurate documentation
  • Supporting warehouse planning and allocating work where required
  • Reconciling transport invoices and resolving any discrepancies
  • Providing excellent customer support via telephone and email
  • Producing reports, maintaining accurate records and supporting wider operational administration
  • Assisting with contractor administration, inductions and compliance documentation

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who enjoys organisation, problem solving and working collaboratively across multiple departments.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience within transport, logistics or supply chain administration
  • A good understanding of transport operations and distribution processes
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with documentation and invoices
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach

Experience of European exports would be advantageous but is not essential.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 5:00pm, with an early finish at 1:00pm every other Thursday or Friday, giving you a great work-life balance.
